Health and social care

One of the themes the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry is using to approach its investigations and hearings is health and social care. The thematic approach seeks to bring the experiences of people in Scotland to the forefront of our investigations, ensuring the human impact of the pandemic is captured.

On 28 August 2023, the Inquiry held a preliminary hearing on health and social care. During the hearing, Lord Brailsford, Chair of the Inquiry outlined the practical and procedural matters relevant to the Inquiry and its participants, such as timescales for hearings.

Health and social care impact hearings began on 24 October 2023. More information about the Inquiry's hearings and broadcasts of each session are available via the Hearings Hub.
